Those who didn’t make it to Coachella can still satisfy their music fix by visiting the Ciel Spa at the SLS Hotel at Beverly Hills.
All six of the spa’s treatment rooms utilize the Sonora Sound Tables by Living Earth Crafts to provide the best of both worlds: music and relaxation. Guests can either listen to the spa’s playlist, which includes Coachella artists like M83 and Santigold, or dock their iPods into the multipurpose acoustic resonance treatment tables. With the use of headphones, a harmonic flow of sound waves is generated and resonated throughout the table to achieve unique levels of relaxation and healing thanks to the embedded Bose Hi-Fi stereo system.
“Guests have really enjoyed the ability to really relax [and] allow their minds to completely switch off. The beds essentially overwhelm the senses in a positive and constructive manner to even the busiest mind,” says spa director Amanda Raich. “With our innovative hotel concept, we felt the beds were a perfect fit to increase relaxation and also present a new and unique experience to the modern day traveler.”
There is no additional charge for the music option and can be used during any of the spa’s services. The Ciel Spa is currently offering a special birthday promotion in which guests will be given a discount for a 60-minute service if they visit the spa on their actual birthday. Guests will be able to deduct their age from the cost of the treatment.
