Cartier Nails it with New Juste un Clou Collection

On April 12, 2012, with a fabulously attended fete at the flagship Cartier Mansion in NYC, Cartier celebrated and launched the specular re-designed collection Juste En Clou (Just a Nail).  While fashion celebs like Olivier Theyskens, Chanel Iman, Karlie Kloss or it-girl Lily Collins mingled, the true stars of the night were the minimalistic shiny pieces of jewelry.

The collection is a reinterpretation of a bracelet that Aldo Cipullo designed for the house in 1971 and marks the opening of “Cartier & Aldo Cipullo, New York City in the ’70s,” an exhibition of archival images on view at the company’s Fifth Avenue flagship.   This exhibition will go through May 8th.     Aldo Cipillo was the same designer who created the iconic LOVE collection.  Notice the his recurring use of items symbolizing strength and construction like the screw and nail.   Juste En Clou includes 3 kinds of  bracelets (one slim, one thick and one with subtle diamonds around the nail head and point)and 2 kinds of rings which all come in white, rose and yellow gold and ones with diamonds.

Already available online and all stores throughout the US  just unboxed the shipment this morning, these simple but striking items are just flying out the door.  They’re prefect for everyday glamor and surely to become sold out collector’s items.  The yellow and rose gold rings start at $2,175 and $3,650 for ones with diamonds.  The bracelets start at $6,250 and the diamond ones are $11,275.  The heavy thickest bracelet in yellow and rose god are $34,650.
