Arka Brings Culinary Light to the Silicon Valley

The Silicon Valley recently welcomed the launch of a new restaurant, Arka.  With its moniker meaning “sun”, the recent launch has brought welcomed light into the area.  Arka reflects the Silicon Valley’s ideal of itself, full of innovation.  This new kid on the block offers approachable Indian cuisine with high-end touches.

Arka’s executive team is no stranger to the high-end Indian restaurant scene.  The star trio includes acclaimed chef Sachin Chopra (of All Spice in San Mateo) as consulting chef, executive chef Surbeer Rawat and general manager Michael Agnel.

This team has skillfully executed a sleek and sophisticated space not lacking any personal attention.  Everything from the food, to the service, to the ambiance has a unique spin.  The menu incorporates sustainable practices to incorporate organic wine and cuisine. Specialties include Tandoori kebabs, Biryanis, Curries, Dosas and Uthappams, along with extensive vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free selections.

Another unique touch:  the colorful bar plays Cricket games on one of it’s flat screens.  And whether it’s getting up to say goodbye to a customer, or dropping by a table to check on a meal, Agnel and his team clearly understand the importance of the knowing their customers.

Arka is open daily for lunch, happy hour and dinner.
