The Orchid Show: Patrick Blanc’s Vertical Gardens

Celebrating its 10thanniversary, this installment of The Orchid Showshowcases French botanist Patrick Blanc’s unique towering-gardening technique with structures covered in orchids, ferns and exotic plants. Visit the exhibit on a Saturday night for Orchid Evenings, where guests receive a complimentary signature cocktail and specials at participating restaurants.

Whitney Biennial
Whitney Museum of American Art

The 2012 edition of theWhitney Biennial, the institution’s signature survey of contemporary American art, highlights works from more than 50 artists within the realms of sculpture, painting, installations and photography. Additionally, for the first time, nearly an entire floor of the museum will be transformed into a 6,000-square-foot performance space for music, dance, theater and other events.

A Spanish import, Aire Ancient Baths is a new three-story spa that houses a range of specialty baths, warm and cold pools, steam and sauna rooms and a relaxation area. Renegade Princess is a witty and heartfelt off-off Broadway show playing at Stage Left Studio the first 10 days of March. The autobiographical play both stars and tells the journey of Ann Marie Houghtailing’s life, exploring the agony and ecstasy of love, life and loss. Houghtailing’s sharp writing and commanding performance could very well make her the next Tina Fey.
