New York is heating up with several exciting openings; from orchids to art, ancient baths to an off-off Broadway smash, this is what we’re excited about this month.

The Orchid Show: Patrick Blanc’s Vertical Gardens

New York Botanical Gardens

Celebrating its 10thanniversary, this installment of The Orchid Showshowcases French botanist Patrick Blanc’s unique towering-gardening technique with structures covered in orchids, ferns and exotic plants. Visit the exhibit on a Saturday night for Orchid Evenings, where guests receive a complimentary signature cocktail and specials at participating restaurants.

Whitney Biennial

Whitney Museum of American Art
March 1 – May 27

The 2012 edition of theWhitney Biennial, the institution’s signature survey of contemporary American art, highlights works from more than 50 artists within the realms of sculpture, painting, installations and photography. Additionally, for the first time, nearly an entire floor of the museum will be transformed into a 6,000-square-foot performance space for music, dance, theater and other events.

Aire Ancient Baths

Opening mid-March

A Spanish import, Aire Ancient Baths is a new three-story spa that houses a range of specialty baths, warm and cold pools, steam and sauna rooms and a relaxation area. Rejuvenate in salt, ice mineral or Jacuzzi tubs and finish your day with either a two- or four-handed massage, depending on intensity preference. This 15,000-square-foot retreat brings life to the ancient Greek and Roman traditions of meeting and socializing while achieving ultimate relaxation.

Renegade Princess is a witty and heartfelt off-off Broadway show playing at Stage Left Studio the first 10 days of March. The autobiographical play both stars and tells the journey of Ann Marie Houghtailing’s life, exploring the agony and ecstasy of love, life and loss. Houghtailing’s sharp writing and commanding performance could very well make her the next Tina Fey.

Jenene Ronick is one of the foremost experts in concierge services and lifestyle management.  Over the past 10 years, Jenene forged and executed concierge programs with some of the world’s leading hoteliers, real estate developers, hedge funds, and Fortune 500 clients. Previously, Jenene ran guest relations at CNN for 7 years. At CNN, she learned to address the exacting demands of high net worth clients, and developed relationships with hundreds of exclusive vendors to seamlessly execute and exceed  requirements.  At Luxury Attaché, she leveraged her expertise to create a unique lifestyle service provision fueled by proactivity to provide clients with personalized service delivery, access, convenience and once in-a-lifetime experiences.  Jenene attended the NYU Stern School of Business, and the University of Colorado, Boulder.
