Napa Valley Biscuits is officially open. The new restaurant owners Chef Curtis Lindley and wife, Tara, have open their new venture this past weekend and have managed to blow out the competition within a few hours, by selling 13 dozen homemade biscuits.

Lindley has worked at Go Fish, Solbar, and Martini House, along with training in St. Helena from the Culinary Institute at Greystone.

Chef Lindley brought his southern roots to Napa Valley, after growing up in Texas, where he learned most of his culinary expertise, while spending time with his grandparents at their fried chicken restaurant. As a pastry chef, his grandmother was well known for her many recipes, including her red velvet cake and biscuits, so Lindley decided to adapt these to his own restaurant.

“I’ve been a carpenter, served in the Marines,” Chef Lindley said. “I wanted to open a place for working people.” This is exactly what he did when returning to his roots and developing Napa Valley Biscuits. The menu features, biscuits of course, sandwiches with gravy, chili and fried chicken. Also, special dishes for the youth.

The restaurant is located at 1502 Main St., Napa and will be open six days a week, except for Monday. The establishment is open Tuesday through Thursday, 7:30 am to 2 pm, Friday to Saturday, dinner hours are 5 to 9 pm, and Sunday 8am to 2pm.
