Just after a week of opening, Napa Valley Biscuits have taken an unexpected turn to close after last Saturday at 2:30pm. Owners Chef Curtis and wife, Tara Lindley have decided to close their brand new restaurant in hopes to remodel and make more room for additional food storage, refrigerators and frying equipment. It’s no surprise that Curtis and Tara Lindley’s Southern-style eatery has done so well within the very first week, with such great comfort foods and down home cooking, there’s no wonder why diners were so hungry for a taste of their cuisine.
The owners were so overwhelmed by the demand that they had no choice but to close the eatery and they are looking forward to reopen a week from now. “There’s been a crazy demand for what we have to offer,” according to Chef Curtis Lindley.
Lindley went on to explain the need to close, “I went through five gallons of gravy today.”
“I got tired of telling people I have to close early,” Lindley states. But despite the early need to close and remodel, the owners are very optimistic and are already meeting with the landlord and architect to work out plans to make room for additional food storage, while they are also, ordering extra equipment. To the owners surprise, they originally expected 100 customers a day, but ran into a dilemma when the count doubled by lunch time, causing them to run out of food. As surprising as it was for the Lindley’s they are touched by the overwhelming support by the community and look forward to reopening with “table improvements” to accommodate for more seating for guests, something that will make guests even more happy, along with good food.
