On Wednesday evening, “The Hunger Games” held it’s UK premiere in London with fans and media all excitedly standing by to get a glimpse of the stars who are featured in one of the most highly anticipated films of the year.
Following Monday’s world premiere in Los Angeles, “The Hunger Games” went to London for its UK premiere on Wednesday evening. Stars of the film such as Liam Hemsworth, Elizabeth Banks, Josh Hutcherson and Jennifer Lawrence were all in attendance at the O2 Arena for the screening.
Speaking after the premiere, Hutcherson said, “Physically, it was pretty similar to what I’d done before, but what was different was that I had to put on weight, which I hadn’t done before. I put on fifteen pounds of muscle, so that was a lot of eating chicken and a high protein, low-carb diet. Also a lot of heavy lifting and a very different kind of training with an ex-navy SEAL guy who wanted to kill me every time I got with him. In a good way.”
Hemsworth added, “As an actor, I’m always on the lookout for good scripts, things that are interesting and different and this combines romance and action, you get to do it all. I want to do as many different emotions as I can.”
Former Spice Girl, Melanie Brown was at the London premiere along with Katie Price, Michelle Heaton, Ellie Jenas, Stephen Belfonte and Liam Hemsworth’s brother Chris.
