Haute Event: Let The Bumbys Give an Appraisal of Your Appearance

On March 21, the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas’ current artist-in-residence The Bumbys made a splash at the P3 Studio during an open soirée with resort guests.

The Bumbys, individually known as Gill and Jill Bumby, are an anonymous duo based out of New York who provide typewritten “Fair and Honest Appraisals of Your Appearance.” It’s as simple as it sounds; stand front and center and in moments they type a personalized assessment of how they think you look, complete with a number rating on a scale of 1 to 10. Featured in the New York Times, Harpar’s Bazaar, Vogue Italia and many other outlets for their quirky and objective interpretations of everyday citizens, The Bumbys have been a hit among visitors at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.

Appraisals occur Thursdays from 7 to 8 p.m., Fridays from 8 to 9 p.m., Saturdays from 8 to 10 p.m. and Sundays from 7 to 8 p.m now through April 1.
