Haute Event: J. Cole and Hennessey V.S. Celebrate “Dreamville Weekend”

On March 2, J. Cole, one of raps up and coming heavyweights, hosted a party in Charlotte, NC to honor the 100th anniversary of the CIAA basketball tournament.  Sponsored by Hennessey at Osso Restaurant, J. Cole’s event celebrated his “Dreamville Weekend,” a series of events meant to inspire North Carolina’s youth and give back to his community.

Celebrities such as “The King of the South,” T.I., Jason Geter and Jason Anderson sipped Hennessey’s special drink for the occasion: the Dreamville Cocktail-made up of Hennesey VS, Black Walnut Bitters, Brown Sugar and an Orange Twist.

J.Cole began his “Dreamville Weekend” in his hometown of Fayetteville, NC, paying a special visit to his high school, Terry Stanford High.  Later on, he dined with the mayor celebrating Fayetteville’s newest day: “J. Cole Day.”

On March 3, the 27-year-old rapper played a concert at the Fillmore Charlotte where he was joined by T.I. and pop star Miguel.

2011 and 2012 have been a “Cole World” for “Young Simba,” his debut album “Cole World: The Sideline Story” debuted number one on the Billboard 200 chart and artists such as Missy Elliot, fellow Roc Nation rapper Jay-Z, Drake and Trey Songs are featured on the album.
