Harrods New Technology Store and the Largest Plasma TV in the World

Harrods, Britain’s iconic high-end store, has launched its new technology department and with it comes the Panasonic’s 152-inch TV – the biggest plasma screen in the world. The 600kg plasma TV was first shown in 2010 at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas and is now being sold for £600,000 ($950,800). The Panasonic TV set uses 4K2K technology, has four times as many pixels as a standard high-definition TV set and plays in 4096 x 2160 resolutions. Additional features include separate 3D image in HD.

Harrods new technology department is 22,000 square-feet and offers super-luxury gadgets including Sony VAIOs, Loewe sound systems, FujiFilm cameras, Blackberrys and more, as well as featuring high-tech brands like Bang & Olufsen, Porsche Design and even an Apple store.
