The Restaurant at Wente Vineyards Soars with New Chef

San Francisco Bay Area dwellers and beyond: Wente Vineyards is the country’s oldest, continuously operated family-owned winery, and rightfully the top reason to escape to Livermore.
Last month, the restaurant at Wente Vineyards Chef held a launch party to celebrate the addition of their new chef, Matt Greco. At the event, Greco unveiled his new menu inspired by his New York City roots.
The recently appointed Chef has had plenty of impressive experience cooking for the Big Apple’s finest restaurants, including Daniel, Cafe Gray A Voce, and Char No. 4.
Chef Greco is now bringing his seasonal and fresh inspiration to the Restaurant at Wente. Following time spent with local farmers, suppliers and winemakers, his menu specializes in focused flavors that highlight local and seasonal ingredients.
Since the addition, the restaurant has received acclaim from the San Francisco Chronicle’s Michael Bauer. “Greco knows his way around fancy and casual fare, both of which are on display here.”
The Restaurant at Wente Vineyards is open 7 days a week. Reservations can be made online or by calling (925) 456-2450.
