From 18-21 March, Van Cleef & Arpels will showcase Bals de Légende, its latest High Jewellery Collection, during the first edition of Design Days Dubai (DDD). Presented for the first time in the Middle East since its launch in Paris, the collection highlights the brand’s continuous dedication to creativity and elegance as well as emphasizes its connection with the world of design.
Bals de LégendeTM presents five sets of jewels, inspired by five fairytale-themed majestic balls of twentieth-century including the Le Bal du Palais d’Hiver, Le Bal du Siècle, Le Bal Black & White, Le Bal Oriental and Le Bal Proust. Each tells the story of an unforgettable evening, guided by a stunning feminine dancer who invites the spectator to step into the magical world of these five Bals de LégendeTM. These magnificent balls took place across the globe and were hosted by prominent members of society such as Frank Sinatra, Elizabeth Taylor and Salvador Dali. Van Cleef & Arpels in turn reinterpreted the essence of each ball into dazzling jewellery pieces. For example, Le Bal du Palais d’Hiver was hosted in 1903 in St Petersburg by Tsarina Alexandra and the Van Cleef & Arpels jewellery pieces reflect the 17th century Russian Court and their sumptuous costumes.
The jewels on display offer the special opportunity to discover a treasure trove of the most fabulous ensemble of rare stones. Each piece of the Bals De LégendeTM collection is unique and highlights Van Cleef & Arpels’ commitment to innovative craftsmanship and exclusivity. The French Maison’s dedication to creativity offers a strong connection with design, and its magnificent jewellery pieces are true testimony to artistic excellence. “Design Days Dubai is the perfect platform to highlight our savoir-faire and expertise in High Jewellery,” stated Alban Belloir, Regional Director of Van Cleef & Arpels. “Showcasing the extraordinary Bals de LégendeTM collection will allow design enthusiasts to connect with our roots, while also highlighting our dedication to uncompromising support for creativity,”
