‘The Bodyguard’ Set To Debut In London’s West End In November

Hollywood was rumored to be working on a modern-day version of “The Bodyguard,” even before Whitney Houston’s tragic and timely passing, but it appears that the 1992 film will also be turned in to a musical as well.

The Guardian reported that a stage version of the story has been in the works since last year. Producers are now said to be preparing the musical to arrive at London’s West End in November.

Tony and Grammy winner Heather Hadley is said to stay at Rachel Marron, the iconic role Houston played opposite Kevin Costner in ’92. Costner played the role of a Secret Service agent hired to protect the pop star, and the two eventually fall in love.
