SoBe WFF: VIPs Attend Diamond Dish Dinner at new Marlins Ballpark

For the first time, South Beach Wine and Food Festival and the Marlins gathered local VIPs at the new Marlins Ballpark for the Diamond Dish Dinner, named after wife of Marlins’ owner Jeffrey Loria and author of Diamond Dishes, Julie Loria.

The night began with live entertainment, cocktails and bites on the mezzanine of the state-of-the-art stadium, where notable guests including Martha Stewart got to indulge in gourmet cuisine and meet some of their favorite baseball players.

The event’s top-notch culinary presentation included Michelle Bernstein, Hedy Goldsmith, Scott Conant and Laurent Tourondel, as well as the team’s chef-d’oeuvre. The chefs perfectly paired savory bites with select wines, and were situated out on the field allowing the guests to “run the bases” while sampling each creation. The decadent menu featured at the sold-out event included food favorites from Major League baseball players and recipes.
