It's not called the Bud Light Headquarters Big Game XLVI Party for nothing. Maybe better than tailgating, this party at the Hard Rock Cafe in Waikiki kicks off at 1:30 p.m. Sunday (with the pre-party starting at 10 a.m.) And there's no cover. But if you want the total luxe experience, book VIP seats and tables starting at $65 per person. This includes a reserved table, a pupu platter, a speciality menu, two drinks per person, a sundae bar and other cool swag.

All season The Shack in Hawaii Kai has been broadcasting NFL games live with a Sunday breakfast menu that included Bloody Marys, steak and eggs, three-egg omelets, the popular loco moco and its famous biscuits and gravy. (The endless coffee is a plus, too.) So expect no less enthusiasm for the NFL's biggest game, which will be played on all big-screen high-definition TVs through the waterfront sports bar.

It's the kind of bar you'd open in your own home. Kanpai Bar & Grill serves up the perfect nosh — shoyu ahi poke, furikake garlic chicken, kim chee edamame, crispy fried lumpia — for the big game, with seats inside or on the open-air lanai. On Sunday it will offer drink and food specials all day long.

This longtime neighborhood pub — it's been around since 1987 — serves up great food, good company and an extensive bar with 16 unique beers on tap. It's a favorite spot to watch the University of Hawaii football games — and no doubt a lively spot for this year's Super Bowl. Come for the game, stay for dinner.
