Pop-Art Turns Evil at Upcoming Boxpark Gallery Exhibition

J.F.Kennedy's Nightmare

What the Sex Pistols is to music, UK street artist Pure Evil is to art: rebellious, unapologetic and undoubtedly punk.  For his upcoming exhibition at Boxpark Gallery, Pure Evil ripped up his “Nightmare” Series- a collection of Pop-Art style paintings of famous women, including Jackie Kennedy and Elizabeth Taylor- and joined the pieces into disfigured works of art to make “Pure Evil Goes Pop!”

Highlighting the dark side of our obsession with celebrities and their lives, Pure Evil was inspired by Andy Warhol’s amour with creating works of art from images of the beautiful and famous.

The exhibition begins with a launch party on March 1 where the artist will answer questions.  Along with a Q&A, Saint Lager will provide free beer and everyone is welcome.  The outdoor exhibition goes all the way through March.

Along with the free beer, the exhibition is giving away a signed print of “J.F. Kennedy’s Nightmare” on the Boxpark Facebok page.
