Monika Jakisic’s Blog: Laila Ali and Lane Bryant Event
On Thursday February 9, Lane Bryant, a leading fashion retailer, Laila Ali, one of the world’s most recognizable female athletes has teamed up with California-based women’s activewear and bodywear company Marika to launch new exclusive line of plus size sports bras at the Culver City store location. Ali was on hand to mix and mingle with guests, sign autographs and share her professional tips on the importance of finding the right sports bra for any figure.
Guests had the opportunity to shop the new collection and get a personal bra fitting and consultation by Linda Lewis, Lane Bryant’s Senior Buyer, Cacique. Refreshments from The Smoothie Bar were provided throughout the evening and everyone received 30 percent off their purchase.

In honor of the prestigious 54th Annual Grammy Awards in downtown Los Angeles this weekend, I attended the 2012 Hard Rock Style Lounge in Hollywood on Feb 11.
On Thursday April 26th, I attended Reiss' "Evening of British Fashion and Art" at the brand's boutique on Robertson Boulevard to celebrate the new Reiss Summer 2012 collection.
On Saturday November 26th, a private celebration hosted by Harper's Bazaar Editor in Chief, Glenda Bailey took place at the Coach Boutique on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills.
On Wednesday December 7th, Bonnie Star and Daphne Zuniga hosted a speciala cocktail reception celebrating the launch of the Bonnie Star Jewelry Collection at Saks Fifth Avenue.
Gabriella the Great! Great actress. Great model. Great philanthropist. She always has a smile on her face. I was lucky to be in her world and share mine with her recently in LA. She was born in London and is now living and Paris while working in LA. How much more international can you get?
On Tuesday March 27th, I celebrated one of the most glamorous evenings with my beautiful girlfriend actress Gabriella Wright as we attended the LuxeYard Style Launch event hosted by Giuliana Rancic.
On Friday March 16, I attended the Sue Wong Fashion Show during LA Fashion Week.
On Monday October 10th, Monika Chiang celebrated the opening of her new boutique on Robertson Boulevard with a star studded cocktail affair.
