Lobster ME lobster and waffles

Breakfast is definitely a little more interesting when you add lobster to the mix. Lobster ME, the all-lobster concept that opened at the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort last summer, serves up an eclectic brunch menu that includes lobster and waffles and lobster, eggs and tots.

While the lobster served up with scrambled eggs pretty much speaks for itself, it’s the lobster and waffles that should catch your eye. The lobster is served up with a breading giving it the consistency of a hush puppy, only with plenty of lobster stuffed inside. The dish comes with maple syrup, but the sweetness of the lobster paired against the waffles means you can skip it if you choose. Order it with the lobster shooter with Ketel One, a rendition of the bloody Mary, and you have the perfect start to your day.

We also sampled the lobster grilled cheese with cream cheese, brie and gruyere, an extremely rich version of the childhood treat, and the lobster mac and cheese, another gussied up rendition of the kid fave. Both decadent dishes satisfied our lobster needs without breaking the bank with market prices.

The walk-up joint is named for the postal abbreviation for Maine and has the rustic feel of a New England dockside stand with nautical decor. Find Lobster ME near the entrance to Planet Hollywood from the shopping mall.
