Jay-Z Designing Suites in Nets’ New Arena

It should come as no shock that Brooklyn-raised Jay-Z will have a hand in development as the New Jersey Nets prepare to move to his old stomping grounds. The “Marcy-to-Madison-Square” wonder remains loyal to his roots and is working diligently alongside SHoP architects on a series of 11 luxury suites; dubbed, “The Vault” at Barclays Center–the Nets’ new home arena. The suites will cost $550K a year to own.

Not too many details have been revealed but here’s what we know: the suites will boast an endless supply of $300 bottles of Armand de Brignac Champagne. Jay-Z’s design influence will result in a décor scheme with an abundance of black and shimmering metallics.  Luxury will be tangible in all aspects–from sterling cutlery to first rate service.
