International Jazz Stars Join Forces For Moscow’s Butman Festival

A bevy of the world’s best jazz musicians will play this weekend at Igor Butman’s annual Triumph of Jazz festival at the Moscow International House of Music.
This year’s guests include New Orleans jazz musician Troy “Trombone Shorty” Andrews, who performed at the White House last week as part of the Black History month celebrations with his group Orleans Avenue and U.S. pianist David Garfield.
Russian jazz pianist Yakov Okun will also play, joining up with New York double bassist Ben Street and Billy Drummond. Last year, the three released a CD called “New York Encounter.”
