Haute Time: Swatch Predicts More Profits In 2012
The world’s largest watchmaker, Swatch said it expects growth to continue this year after a good start in January. The company, whose products range from high-end automatic watches like Breguet and Blancpain to the widely recognized plastic watches, is gaining from demand mainly among Asian consumers – along with a few other select Swiss watch makers.

Swatch has just unveiled their latest creation - a watch for the global Occupy protest movement.
Swatch Group recently announced that it has purchased watch case manufacturer Simon Et Membrez for an undisclosed amount.
Having the strongest month of turnover in December, The Swatch Group exceeded CHF 7 billion for the first time in the company's history with group sales of watches and jewelry up 21.7%.
When Swiss rival Swatch cut supply lines, Tag Heuer made the announcement that the brand would be sourcing parts from Japanese manufacturer Seiko. The change, the Watchmaker states, would not harm the prized “Swiss made” tag.
A collection of 4,363 Swatch watches from over the years sold in Hong Kong recently for $6,650,00.
On Friday, May 11, Swatch watches and the TTR World Snowboard Tour held a star-studded awards ceremony at the Royal/T Gallery Swatch Pop-Up Shop in Los Angeles to announce the winner of their Swatch Art Rules Design Contest.
Today the Swatch Group terminated their contract with Tiffany & Co. as a result of what they felt was a breach of contract. Swatch claims that Tiffany & Co. has made premeditated efforts to block and delay the development of their business.
There is no doubt about it. Swatch components are widely used, outside the brand itself. But that could change as soon as January 1st. The Swatch Group is considering cutting back their sales of the internal copoments to competitors to concentrate on making enough supplies for it's own brands
