Ferragamo Sponsors Associates Luncheon To Benefit Cancer Treatment Programs

The Associates Committee of The Society of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center will host the 4th Annual Associates Luncheon at Rouge Tomate in Midtown.  Sponsored by Salvatore Ferragamo, the private luncheon will honor Nina J. Pickett, Administrator of the MSKCC Department of Pediatrics, for her years of hard work at the hospital.

Founded in 1946, the Society of MSKCC has helped develop and fund programs that improve patient care, provide public education on cancer and help fund cancer research.  Through programs such as the art program or patient recreation, the MSKCC has made large steps in improving the care and lives of patients.

The luncheon, on Wednesday, Feb. 8 2012, will present the Salvatore Ferragamo Women’s Spring Summer 2012 Runway Collection by Creative Director Massimiliano Giornetti, with some of the clothing to be sold at the luncheon.  All the proceeds will go to the Pediatric Family Housing Endowment.  The endowment pays for overnight visits for families who travel out of town for treatment for their loved one.

Already, the committee has pledged $2 million to the Pediatric Family Housing program over a span of five years.
