Top 5 Places to Watch the Superbowl in San Francisco

    1. Public House

The secret to Public House is not only the entrance but the pre-sold tables for Superbowl.   With over 22 oversized televisions, a perfect view is easily ensured.  Furthermore the menu offers a selection of haute American comfort food (the menu was designed by award winning chef Traci Des Jardins) like cracklins and pigs in a blanket made with fresh puffed pastry.  With its own specialty in-house brew, Public House emphasizes it’s beer aficionado mantra by outfitting an entire wall with 78 kegs and over 20 different selections from around the world.

    2. The Brick Yard

On game days, one can see an attractive looking line of patrons stretching out the door and down the main street of Marina to enter into the fraternal friendly establishment.  Pop your collar and mingle with collegiate people in the spacious brick and redwood decorated bar.  The games are projected on a big screen in the center of the room and as everyone becomes more inebriated, girls start dancing on the bar.  Nonetheless, despite its bar-like nature, the food is created and crafted by a chef who trained at Michelin-starred Per Se.  Instead of your typical pub grub, Brick Yard offers prosciutto wrapped chicken and gourmet thin crust pizzas.

    3. The Republic

A mix between scenster lounge, bottomless brunch and sport bar, The Republic offers a place where sports happy boyfriends can take their not so sporty girlfriends.   There’s outdoor seating for people watching, a front lounge area that plays dance friendly music and in the back are 6 HDTVs for the sports fans.  Their mac and cheese and chicken nachos are defining items for the term gastropub.  Cheekily named drinks like the “Cougar Juice” are smashingly delicious.

    4. Kezar Pub & Restaurant

Warning: wear only the shoes you can wash, clean or throw away.  For you viewing pleasure, Kezar has over 25 HDTVs showing a continual stream of superbowl action.  But be forwarned, this place gets rowdy and packed.   A well known San Francisco favorite, there’s always at least 15 beers on tap and a kitchen that offers the best buffalo wings.   Jovial fans pack into the rustic space which include pool tables, darts and cheeky board games like Connect 4 and Jenga.

    5. 21st Amendment Brewery

As local as it gets.  Support your local boy hero, Brady, here with local microbrewed ales that have won tons of awards.   Try their tasty and cheekily named "fireside chat" or
"allies win the war".    However, the drawback here is that there's very little screen action so if you decide to come here it's for their beers.
