Starting this weekend, DineLA Restaurant Week will take place in Los Angeles and be held the next two weeks, from January 22-27 and January 29-February 3. This year, over 200 restaurants will be participating. Locals and visitors will be able to enjoy the wide variety of cuisines LA has to offer.

Restaurant Week was first started five years ago. It was created to build awareness of LA as a culinary capital and to drive business for local restaurants. It’s now a biannual event that takes place during every October and January.

During Restaurant Week, diners will be able to try a specially priced three-course meal that includes an appetizer, entrée, and dessert. A must try for restaurant week is Spago Beverly Hills, Wolfgang Puck’s flagship restaurant. The restaurant showcases seasonal menus of fresh California produce, fish, and meats by Executive Chef Lee Hefter. You can also pair dishes with wine selections from the extensive wine list.

Another great option during Restaurant Week is BLD. Famous for its brunch entrees and appetizers, breakfast is generally served at BLD until 3pm. A few dishes that will be on the menu at BLD during Restaurant Week include prosciutto wrapped scallops, a pan roasted Mediterranean bass with herb couscous and tomato caper beurre blanc, as well as a bittersweet chocolate pudding parfait.

Last but not least, a favorite of the LA food scene is Loteria Grill

, a Mexican restaurant known for their chicken mole. It’s worth a visit to check out the colorful and flavorful dishes. Choices for Restaurant Week at Loteria include hibiscus flower salad, tacos of seared swordfish, and rum ice cream.

These are just a few of the many options that will be on display during Restaurant Week.
