Related and Danny Meyer’s Union Square Events Announce Partnership

New York’s real estate and restaurant royalty will join forces; Related Companies and Danny Meyer’s Union Square Events (USE) announced a partnership today.

Combining Related’s expertise in real estate, and USE’s world renowned culinary, hospitality, sports and events services in one standout platform.  A major focus of the partnership will center on the 26-acre Hudson Yards development; a mixed commercial, residential, and cultural development in the works on Manhattan’s Upper West Side – where USE will program a number of the spaces, including private dining for tenants, unique signature events, catered affairs, new eateries, and open-air cafés.

The possibilities for the partnership are incredibly vast; when complete, Hudson Yards is envisioned to include 5,000 residences, 6 million square feet of office space, a 1 million square foot retail center intended for restaurants, markets, cafés and bars, a hotel, a school, a cultural space, and, ever lauded in Manhattan–14-acres of open space.

Related also hopes to bring Union Square Events to more sports arenas and stadiums across the country and internationally.
