Radisson Royal Hotel, Moscow Voted Leading In Luxury Business

The prestigious World Travel Award 2011 has been bestowed upon the Radisson Royal Hotel in Moscow for best in luxury business hotels.
The World Travel Awards has been described by the Wall Street Journal as the “Oscars of the travel industry.” It was created in 1993 to acknowledge and recognize excellence in the global travel and tourism industry.
The Radisson Royal Hotel is a member of the “Seven Sisters” , a set of Soviet skyscrapers masterminded by Joseph Stalin. The monumental 34-story hotel was designed by architects Arkady Mordvinov and Vyacheslav Oltarzhevsky and was constructed between 1949 and 1957. After three years of renovation, it reopened its doors in April 2010. It now features 497 guest rooms and suites, 38 serviced apartments. For its business clientele, the hotel houses 13 elegant meeting rooms for conferences and events, two conference banqueting halls, state of the art technology and hotel library.
Fine dining combined with 1,200 original masterpieces by Russian artists make the Moscow Radisson even more deserving of the award.
