Mulberry Surges 41% in Sales on Asian Demand

Mulberry, the British luxury handbag brand has benefited tremendously on Asian demand, with many Asian tourists visiting its shops, there’s no surprise that within six weeks up to January 14, retail sales have rocketed a whopping 41 percent, due to a trading update.

Godfrey Davis, Mulberry chairman and chief executive states, “I am delighted that trading during Christmas and the New Year has been strong and consequently the results for the year to 31 March 2012 are likely to exceed our earlier expectations.”

Burberry, a rival group has announced that their sales have increased by more than a fifth due to Asian demand.
