It’s That Time of Year Again #FashionWeek
It’s almost that time of year again—Fashion Week in New York City! I look forward to these weeks in September/February all year. It’s when I feel the most inspired, and in my element. My favorite shows every season are Charlotte Ronson (always so fun), Betsey Johnson (love her), Preen (always amazing), Rachel Roy (such sophistication) and Nicole Miller and Vivienne Tam.
You may think this sounds crazy, but for those of you who are as in love with fashion as I am, I’m sure you can relate. I plan my outfits for next season’s fashion week, immediately after the one prior! My stylist, Kanayo Ebi, really gets me—she and I brainstorm, go through so many different trends and styles, and designers and fits.
The final look I end up wearing is decided minutes before each show though; it all depends on my mood, the weather and the feel of the show. Some of my all time favorite designers are Giuseppe Zanotti, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Givenchy, Rachel Roy and Alexander Wang. Kanayo introduced me to Supertrash/Olcay Gulsen last year, and I love their pieces too!
As always, this upcoming fashion week is going to be a whirlwind; from shows, to parties, to after parties to after-after parties, and I can’t wait!
In September, I stepped out in a look from my own collection (which is currently in the works). You may get to see an entire collection from Angela Renee in September 2012, but I’m not making any promises just yet! Stay tuned!
This year marked my second consecutive New Year’s in Miami. I was joined by close friends, and even my family, since my dad was asked to host the New Year’s Eve bash at the Shore Club.

If there is one thing that is not lacking in Dubai, it is the number of swimming pools. For a country which is hot all year round, laying by the pool is the most popular pastime. The year was 1969, and one of the last great problems in watchmaking lay unsolved: how to make an automatic chronograph. Zenith changed watchmaking forever when they introduced the watch aptly known as “El Primero” (the first), the first self-winding chronograph watch with a full-sized rotor.
