International Center for Photography Benefit and Panel Moderated by Ann Curry

The International Center for Photography (ICP) held a joint benefit, reception, silent auction, luncheon and panel discussion in a posh, unmarked location on the penthouse of  the building at 2 Debrosses Street in Tribeca.  Some of the most brilliant and elite talents in the photography field were in attendance and actively participating in the discussion.

The ICP supports photography directed toward social change in contemporary culture. The organization offers thousands of classes and workshops in this arena. The panel was moderated by Today Show anchor Ann Curry and consisted of trend-setting photographer Samantha Appleton; family narrative photographer Gillian Laub; culture and humanity photographer Mary Ellen Mark; gender and human rights photographer Stephanie Sinclair, and New York Times Magazine director of photography Kathy Ryan. The discussion focused on photojournalism as it pertains to gender, trauma, and capturing human emotion.
