On Saturday night, legendary DJ and producer Tiësto took the stage at XS Las Vegas for his debut at the award-wining nightclub at Encore Las Vegas. His devoted following showed up in full force, with the 40,000-square-foot venue reaching capacity hours before his scheduled set time. The sea of people screamed, “Tiesto!” repeatedly until the Dutch superstar stepped on stage to take over the decks.
Tiësto was the center of attention as cell phones raised in the air to capture the moment of the monumental debut. The dance floor swayed like a simulated pulse to the beat as confetti explosions and smoke cannons led to the special event. Playing until the break of dawn, Tiësto, known as the World’s No. 1 DJ, did not disappoint his fans for his first set at the club.
Joining in on the occasion were fellow EDM standouts and XS resident DJs deadmau5 and Brad Roulier of Manufactured Superstars.
Returning on Wednesday, Jan. 11, Tiësto will host a private event at XS with Believe Entertainment Group to launch his new, behind-the-scenes digital series, “In the Booth.” Debuting Jan. 17 exclusively on the Web, the 10-episode documentary-style series will give fans an up-close, personal look at the electronic dance music superstar’s life and the global movement he has fueled.
“In the Booth” will consist of 10 digital episodes, revealing how Tiësto’s passion for music and live performance has made him a global phenomenon, chronicling the events, promoters, preparations and how each show ultimately comes together. From Las Vegas to Ibiza, fans will have the ultimate insider access to Tiësto’s world — backstage, onstage and moments right before he hits the decks in front of thousands of fans — plus exclusive Tiësto commentary and personal insight into the experience, the venues, festivals and big nights in the world’s most exclusive parties and nightclubs.
