While a standard Mercedes-Benz SLR will get heads turning, Renntech has taken the speed and power of this luxury vehicle to new heights.

The Renntech Mercedes-Benz SLR is able to clock record-breaking speeds at the Palm Beach International Raceway. During a test run, the vehicle managed to get through the quarter mile mark in 9.76 seconds at speeds of 140.8 mph, making it reportedly the fasted Mercedes-Benz in the world, and the first Mercedes to break the 9 second mark for a quarter mile.

The spectacular car has been outfitted with a host of Renntech modifications such as bumping up the traditional 520 horsepower to around 680 horsepower at the rear wheels. There is also a set of Hoosier drag slicks that make it capable of going to 60 mph in around 2.2 seconds.

Renntech has been the foremost authority on Mercedes-Benz tuning for 21 years, offering a complete line of performance products for Mercedes-Benz, AMG and Mayback vehicles. They also do complete tuning solutions for other luxury vehicles such as Porsche, Audi, Bentley and Ferrari.
