Green and Gold: The Green Carpet Challenge at The Golden Globes

On Sunday, the red carpet will get a healthy dose of green. The Green Carpet Challenge returns for the third year as designers create garments using green techniques to be worn by the red carpet walkers at the Golden Globes.

Livia Firth—wife of Colin Firth and producer and creative director of Eco Age—created the challenge three years ago and has since worn only “green” gowns, like the dress made from recycled pieces of her husband’s Tom Ford suits. This year, designers to take on the eco-friendly challenge will include Chanel, Giorgio Armani, Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent, among others.
