Film Director M. Night Shyamalan Sold Tribeca Penthouse

The Real Deal New York reports that screenwriter and film director M. Night Shyamalan, famed for being the talent behind “The Sixth Sense,””Signs” and “The Village,” sold his 7,000-square-foot, four-bedroom penthouse at 45 Walker Street.

The duplex penthouse was listed with Raphael De Niro of Prudential Douglas Elliman and sold for $9.5 million, according to public records filed with the city on Friday. Shyamalan’s penthouse was first listed in September 2010–with Brown Harris Stevens’ Margaret Velard and Stewart Clarke for $18.5 million. Shyamalan purchased the property in 2003 for $6.3 million.

The apartment, the highest of six in the Tribeca building by Extell Development boasts keyed elevator access, a floating limestone staircase and glass mosaic tiled floors. It also features a gym, a wet bar and a planted terrace.
