City on Ice and Snow-Moroz

On January 10, 2012, Moroz City in Russia is gearing up to be completed. What this city includes may just about be everything that your heart desires from a fitness club to prison, but the catch is that everything must be made from ice and snow. Not to mention, a grand task to develop an entire city within the Russian capital.
It might sound like a challenge, but the authors of the Snow Architecture Festival say “let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.” Plus, a group of sculptors and architects are well equipped with 500 blocks of ice and 1,000 cubic meters of snow to help build 2,500 square meters, which is the entire city from the ground up.
This may remind many of the era of Peter the Great in St. Petersburg, where cities were once built out of ice slopes and snow, especially for winter holidays and feasts.
After Moroz City is complete, the facilities will have several sporting events and master classes available on the weekends. Ideal for up and coming architects that wish to showcase their talents.
