Cirque du Soleil Performs at the Santa Monica Pier

Driving down Pacific Coast Highway, the ferris wheel at the Santa Monica Pier can always catch your eye. Recently, however, there’s something else that will catch your fascination. A big top of swirling blue and yellow has been set up near the pier for a performance of Cirque du Soleil’s OVO.
Cirque du Soleil has played at the Santa Monica Pier in previous years and returns with a performance of the bug-themed production OVO. OVO brings all the color and intensity that Cirque du Soleil is known for. The story focuses on the insect’s home how the ecosystem is full of movement, beauty, and energy. The production features an egg that arrives mysteriously and also the love story between a ladybug and another insect. From the costumes to the set, the whole aura of the insect’s world is created and captivates the audience. It’s definitely worth seeing OVO, while it’s still performed at the Santa Monica Pier.
OVO will run Wednesday through Sunday, with selected performances on Tuesday. The last curtain call will be on Sunday, March 25. A special performance to benefit the ONE DROP foundation will be held between March 21 to March 25. Ticket prices vary by age and seating.
