Alonzo Mourning Hosts Opening of Kreiss Design District Showroom

Retired NBA All-Star Alonzo Mourning, who now acts as the Miami Heat’s Vice President of Player Programs and Development, hosted the Miami showroom opening of Kreiss, the renowned home furnishings and design powerhouse. The event benefitted the Honey Shine Mentoring Program, a foundation that Mourning and his wife Tracy began in 2002. Throughout the evening, some 300 of Miami’s elite came out to celebrate the new 3,800-square-foot Design District location.

Guests such as acclaimed photographer Iran Issa Khan, designer Fernando Wong, NIBA Home owner Nisi Berryman, the style-set Elyze Held, philanthropist Jennifer Valoppi, Miami Beach Commissioner Michael Gongora, and socialites Barbara Becker, Kate Kreiss, Amaris Jones, and Fabian Basabe, sipped savory cocktails courtesy of VeeV, noshed on MG Events hors d’oeuvres and enjoyed musical entertainment by DUTCH.

“I’m thrilled with the turnout and reception for the grand opening of our Design District location,” said Loren Kreiss, Managing Director of Kreiss Enterprises. “The crowd’s palpable energy, coupled with the inspiring support for Honey Shine, made this a truly memorable occasion.”
