All-day Diner Karpo Opening February Across from Kings Cross Station

An all-day diner and bar will be opening in early February, located just opposite the famous Kings Cross station in London. The restaurant’s name, Karpo, refers to the Greek goddess of fruits of the earth – a name reflecting Karpo’s dishes that will include all natural and local ingredients.

The head chef, American-born Daniel Taylor, has worked with Le Café Anglais’ Rowley Leigh and The Blueprint Café’s Jeremey Lee. His American heritage will be the inspiration for his menu, which will feature American favorites such as shrimp and grits, reuben on rye and apple and Cheddar Pie.

Karpo will seat 140 guests, 70 of whom will sit on an upper mezzanine on this three-level restaurant. Karpo will also have a private dining room that can accommodate 40 people. The lounge bar will be located on the lower level, and will host 50 guests.

Born in the USA, Taylor will feature several well-loved American dishes on his menu, including shrimp and grits, reuben on rye, bagels with lox and cream cheese, Southern fried quail with celeriac slaw, and apple and Cheddar pie.

The three-level space will have a total of 140 seats, 70 of which will be on an upper mezzanine, including a private dining/meeting area for up to 40 people. There will also be a lounge bar on the lower level seating up to 50 visitors.

The restaurant is open every day from 7am to 11pm.
