The Plaza Hotel’s Hot Pink Betsey Johnson Christmas Tree

In anticipation of the festive holiday season, the Plaza Hotel in New York City has a very special pink Christmas tree that was created by whimsical designer Betsey Johnson.
The Plaza also has a Betsey Johnson-design Eloise suite and a Betsey Johnson pop-up shop but this latest collaboration with the designer is like nothing the hotel has seen before. Completed and lit during a tea service yesterday, the Betsey Johnson/Eloise tree is hot pink and stands 18 feet high. Some of the ornaments adorning the fuchsia tree are even stuffed with Betsey Johnson goodies such as jewelry and underwear.
Anyone can stop in and see the pink tree, which is located near the Palm Court, but it will only be there through January 4. If you do want to buy a few things off the tree, you can head over to the Plaza’s downstairs shops, which includes the pop-up that will remain open through January 9.
