THE GOLDMANS HOST WYNWOOD WALLS SOIREE TO CELEBRATE NEW MURALS

Collectors, socialites and artists all gathered at Wynwood Walls for the unveiling of seven new murals and 16 new works by international street artists along with the opening of the first Wynwood Walls Pop Up Shop during Art Basel Miami.
Guests included many of the artists whose work graces both Wynwood Walls and the adjacent Wynwood Doors including Liqen, Neuzz, Sago, Saner, Gaia and Ron English.

Hosts Tony and Janet Goldman, son Joey Goldman and daughter Jessica Goldman Srebnick and her husband Scott Srebnick, welcomed guests including Jeffrey Deitch, director of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles; collector Courtney Lloyd; flutist Nestor Torres; CBS anchor Chris Wragge; Univision Network TV personality Raul De Molina; William Talbert of the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau; Gary Farmer and Max Sklar, directors of the City of Miami Beach Cultural Affairs; Laura Quinlan, director of the Rhythm Foundation; Beth Boone, Miami Light Project and artists Philip Smith and Frank Farmer, among many others.
During Art Basel Week, celebrities continued to flock to the Walls, including Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones, who were given a guided tour by Jessica Goldman Srebnick, along with director Brett Ratner and Jean Pigozzi.

Attendees enjoyed sumptuous Latino hors d’oeuvres including Mexican elote, queso frito, gazpacho and chicken and skirt steak skewers prepared by executive chef Miguel Aguilar of Wynwood Kitchen& Bar while enjoying live jazz, cocktails and DJs. The Pop Up Shop, open for only the week of Art Basel, did brisk business selling limited edition T-shirts boasting designs created by the artists of Wynwood Walls and the first ever Wynwood Walls book featuring photos of the work and the artists by legendary photographer Martha Cooper.
