The estimated $4 million 100 year old Rolls Royce Silver Ghost is currently on showcase at the breath-taking Chowmahalla Palace, the residence of the Nizam of Hyderabad, India marking the celebration of the Rolls Royce making a century. Therefore, the luxury car’s milestone led the Chowmahalla Palace authorities to plan an event which will be held next month. A matter of fact, Nizam VI ordered the same car from the Great Britain Rolls Royce factory in 1911.
Before being restored, this yellow car was in very bad shape. The Administrator of Nizam’s private estates, Dr. Ameenuddin Khan, helped to convince the royal family to get the Rolls Royce restored to its original form, costing almost one-tenth of its value, but it was worth every penny just to see Mr Manvendra Singh Barwani restore the royal car.
This year in India, the Rolls Royce Silver Ghost was honored with “Best of Show the Concour de Elegance Prize” in the Cartier Travel with Style Concour de Elegance and “Best of Class Prize.”
