Moet & Chandon Grand Vintage Collection 1911 for £65,000

Moet & Chandon have released the Grand Vintage Collection 1911 for £65,000. As it matured for a century, the Grand Vintage Collection 1911 rightfully took its place as one of the house’s most distinguished Champagnes.

According to Moet & Chandon’s chief “vigneron”, 1911 was a remarkable year for the wine that was produced from the harvest.  A century later, Moet has agreed to release 11 limited edition half cases of the 1911 Grand Vintage.

Each limited edition half case will include six bottles of Grand Vintage Collection 1911. The rare wine will be put on display in one of Harrods’ Christmas windows during the holidays.

Typically, champagne that has aged for so long turns a copper brown color, however the Grand Vintage Collection 1911 is still a perfect pale yellow gold. It still has a floral and fruity nose and is bubbly on the palate.

The limited edition champagne has been priced at £65,000 and will be available exclusively at Harrods.
