Karl Lagerfeld’s Affordable Line for Net a Porter

Over the years, Lagerfeld has been known for some of the most designer high fashion, known to walk the runway, however, on December 7th at Le Web 2011, a technology conference he gave us a sneak peek at his new affordable clothing line. At the Paris event, Lagerfeld premiered a short video clip to help promote the clothing line, as well as discussing the exclusive line for Net-a-Porter, an online fashion boutique.

Karl Lagerfeld has decided to name this designer line Karl, while Net-a-Porter’s Natalie Massenet explained that the collection will be affordable and more accessible. Even though, Karl will not launch until January 25th, the designer plans on making the most of social media, in a means to promote the line.

In August of 2012, Lagerfeld will be collaborating with Macy’s to create a capsule collection. This is no surprise that Karl loves to cater to all shoppers. In 2004, he designed a limited edition line for H&M, but for now, the affordable line will only be available on Net-a-Porter, along with 70 items including shirts, dresses, biker jackets and sweaters.

Also, on December 6th, Lagerfeld showcased his annual Chanel Metier D’Arts haute couture line at Paris’ Grand Palais.
