Set against the backdrop of the towering twinkling tree inside the Rotunda of Neiman Marcus San Francisco and the jewel-box in-store boutique spaces, Tom Ford Beauty launched with the expected glamour and panache. Both male and female models showed off the impeccable tailoring and couture-like details of the Tom Ford ready-to-wear line. Female models wore a bustier shaped plush crimson velvet dress, a sexy chic leather pants and silk blouse, a minimalistic plunging neckline black cocktail dress and the show-stopping, broken crystal dress that Anne Hathaway wore when hosting the Oscars. The men were equally dapper in a luxe smoky graphite velvet blazer to an electrique azure coloured suit.

Despite the dazzling ready-to-wear, the highlight of the night was the dark wood, black and gold lacquered beauty counter. Tom Ford Beauty ambassadors and executives from New York to Los Angeles were in attendance to provide information about the products and perform makeovers. Tom Ford Beauty is about two specific looks, touchable nudes and vivid glamour. The skin care line is limited to 8 products because the intention was to be precise. Alberto Mayoral, account executive at Tom Ford Beauty, explained that line does not advertise for anti-wrinkle but the purpose of the skin care is to promote a flawless, radiant complexion. No detail was forgotten. The under 3 oz. protective face primer has a turn and pop up top for portability, perfect for the jetsetter client. Each of one of the twelve brushes was created with either synthetic or natural hairs because each brush has a unique purpose and needed the perfect texture for application. Lip liners were not created because they can create a hard line and age a woman. And the packaging is divine, made to be showcased on any fabulous vanity.
