Happy Holidays from The Rusty Pelican

After celebrating its 40th birthday this month, Miami’s landmark destination The Rusty Pelican is playing host to two extra special holiday festivities. The newly renovated restaurant (a renovation somewhere in the ballpark of $7 million) will serve a prix-fixe menu, in addition to their regular menu, on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The prix-fixe menu will include oven roasted Vermont turkey with roast chestnut roulade, apple sausage stuffing, cranberry sauce with dried apricots, cardamom and port wine, roasted potatoes and natural gravy, and baked salmon roulade with sweet water prawns, foie gras, teardrop tomato ceviche and braised leek fondue.
New Year’s Eve dinner at the Rusty Pelican will begin at 9 p.m. with a four-course, prix-fixe menu priced at $125 per person. The menu will include pan seared sea scallops with saffron risotto cakes, sweet eggplant and roasted red pepper coulis, and grilled filet mignon and lobster tail with pork belly and pee-wee potato hash and cabernet reduction.
The Grand Ballroom at The Rusty Pelican will also be hosting a New Year’s Eve Gala Party, from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m., priced at $200 per person.
