Gourmet Burgers, Wines and an Old Fashioned Ice Cream Bar Find a Home at the New Bottles & Burgers by Double Helix

The pumpkin pie gingersnap rum shake is just one of the adult milkshakes available at Bottles & Burgers by Double Helix.

Summerlin is about to get its own spot for gourmet burgers, wines and an old fashioned ice cream bar to boot. Bottles & Burgers by Double Helix marks the company’s third outpost in Las Vegas when it opens Dec. 29. The newest location offers its first foray into a spot for adults and children.

Executive chef Doug Vega plans a menu of gourmet comfort food with a focus on the craft of savory burgers. Look for gourmet burger selections that feature beef, tuna, chicken, pork and veggie, while the all-beef burgers are made from certified Angus beef. You can even order sharing plates of arancini, flatbreads and olive poppers.

Adults will enjoy the 30 selections of half bottles of wine, Double Helix private label wines by the glass, handcrafted adult milkshakes and a variety of beer, signature cocktails and winetails.  Wine director Krista Rediske has conjured up a list of signature winetails such as the Lucky Ray with Reisling, peach schnapps, pineapple juice and a splash of grenadine as well as the Double Helix made with Cruzan light rum, rock candy and muddled strawberries. We’re looking forward to the menu of adult milkshakes such as the Pumpkin Pie Gingersnap Rumshake, Salted Mocha Caramel Kahlúa Milkshake and the Chocolate Chip Candy Cane Adult Milkshake.

Happy hour specials take over the bar from 4 to 7 p.m. seven days a week and include half-price Double Helix label wines by the glass and a rotation of featured half bottles. Bottles & Burgers will also offer a pairing menu for those who want to select food and drinks that complement each other.

In the main dining room, youngsters and the young at heart will enjoy the old-fashioned soda fountain area. A throwback in time, the fountain area is designed around the soda and candy shops from the 1950s with white marble counter tops and red leather swivel stools. Children can sit at the counter and order old-fashioned sodas, handcrafted milkshakes and malts from the “soda jerk.” The fountain will also feature retro egg creams, a drink made of chocolate syrup, milk and soda water.

Bottles & Burgers will also feature a dine-in “Mojave Picnic” offering a choice of two prix fixe menus for two or four people complete with candlelight, picnic basket, classic red and white checkered tablecloth and a half bottle pairing with each course.

The 6,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor dining space features red leather booths with hardwood table tops. Two pet-friendly covered patio spaces make it a spot to bring the entire family. A fire pit and misters regulate the temperature. A third, separate outdoor patio space will serve as the designated cigar smoking area.

Bottles & Burgers will be open for lunch and dinner Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to midnight.

It was just last year when In-N-Out expanded their business to Texas, so to our surprise psfk.com reported that “the legendary burger chain transformed the ZipZap restaurant in the Harajuku area of Tokyo.” And not to mention, for one full day was changed into an In-N-Out on March 28 for one day.
