Emeril Lagasse’s Upper East Side Townhouse Lists for $15M

The world renowned chef, Emeril Lagasse recently put his townhouse at 158 East 61st Street on the market for $15 million after paying a whopping $11.5 million for it. Just a year ago, Lagasse sold his Midtown condo after six Price reductions and three years of being a resident. Finally, Lagasse moved to a townhouse, after saying goodbye to his luxurious condo. The kitchen is equipped with marble floors, double SubZero refrigerators and freezers, custom-made walnut cabinetry, a pantry, Wolf commercial stove with two ovens and a 150 bottle wine refrigerator. However, the dining room is very informal including a banquette, oak floors, overlooking an English garden. Also, the kitchen and gallery feature heat floors. This six-story mansion with 1,000 square feet of terraces seems to be too much for Emeril and for that reason; he is looking for a smaller place. We might even see this place on Selling New York, because it’s currently listed with Gumley Haft Kleier.
