Dubai’s Jumeirah Zabeel Saray Debuts in Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol

Jumeirah Zabeel Saray, luxury hospitality company Jumeirah’s latest hotel in Dubai saw its debut in the fourth instalment of Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol which premiered at the Dubai International Film Festival on the 7 December. The film was shot in five locations including Prague, Moscow, Mumbai and Vancouver and showcased several locations in Dubai including Jumeirah Zabeel Saray.

Already prior to the hotel’s opening in January 2011, Prior to the hotel’s opening in January 2011, the hotel, owned by Zabeel Investments, hosted a crew of 450 and a cast of 250 for three days of filming which included the shooting of the film’s impressive “black tie” scene. Jumeirah Zabeel Saray’s intricate marble floors, red carpets and luminous chandeliers where adorned with elaborate sculptures to portray an Indian palace. “We felt very lucky because we were able to (…) shoot in Jumeirah Zabeel Saray,” said Tom Cruise when thinking back on the filming.“It has a real elegance and beauty on camera.”

Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol premiered at the eighth Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF), the leading film festival in the Middle East, Asia and Africa region hosted and sponsored by Madinat Jumeirah for the eighth consecutive year.
