Chalk Ping Pong and Billiards Lounge: Miami’s Adult Playground

Within the last few years, Miami locals have seen a shift in various cultural areas, as the city has begun embracing the arts in virtually every form. In the spirit of this shift, Robert Chalk, Sayra Moto and Joseph Blount opened the doors to Chalk Ping Pong and Billiards lounge yesterday, December 28, offering patrons a space that doubles as an “adult rec room.” The 6,600 lounge features 12 LED flat screens, a digital jukebox, seven International Table Tennis Federation-approved Cornilleau Ping-Pong tables, five Diamond Pro-Am billiard tables and classic board games and an extensive cocktail menu crafted by expert mixologists. For private events, the venue boasts a private billiards room, known as The Vault, which accommodates up to 15 guests.
“Some of my best memories as a child involved playing pool with my dad,” says Chalk. “Everyone seems to have their own ‘Ping-Pong story’ as well, so our goal was to capture that nostalgia and simultaneously bring the traditional pool hall to the next level with a chic and sophisticated style.”
