Anna Netrebko Pulls out of Moscow International House of Music Concert

Arguably one of the world’s most famous sopranos, Anna Netrebko, has canceled her appearance at the Moscow International House of Music, reportedly due to a case of the flu.
It is one of Moscow’s most highly anticipated concerts, which was scheduled to take place on December 28 at the Moscow International House of Music. Thousands of Netrebko admirers were looking forward to seeing their soprano idol live and tickets were sold out months ago. But after coming down with the flu, Netrebko, 40, has called off her concert.
Netrebko’s Uruguayan bass-baritone husband, Erwin Schrott, won’t be coming to Moscow either. The couple has performed together before, but reports are indicating that neither one will be making it to this year’s concert.
But fans shouldn’t despair too much – the singer has rescheduled her performance for a later date and she will now sing on March 6 just before International Women’s Day.
Netrebko, who lives in Vienna and New York, is not only famous for her beautiful voice, but she is also admired for her beauty. She made Playboy’s sexiest babes of classical music list.
Schrott and Netrebko married in April 2008 and have a son, Tiago Arua Schrott who was born on September 5, 2008 in Vienna.
