Anderson Cooper Prepares to Move into Restored Fire House

Anderson Cooper is neck-deep in renovations of a 1906 firehouse in Greenwich Village.  CNN’s silver fox seems to be preserving the façade of the Fire Patrol House No. 2, with the addition of a security system and a limestone bust of Mercury above the garage door.  A library can be seen through the window and Cooper revealed plans for a turn-of-the-century style gym. In keeping with the building’s roots, he has been curating items for the traditional firemen’s gymnasium including old school weights with large balls on the end and climbing ropes in the ceiling—Cooper told USA Today.

AC’s move-in date is not yet know, but with all the intricate preparations it shouldn’t be far off.
